INNOV’s Agriculture Center supports New Brunswick’s producers, cooperatives, and agricultural organizations as they transition toward modern, connected, and resilient agriculture.

By combining agricultural science, engineering, digital technology, and biological processing, the center supports agricultural production in all its aspects—from the soil to processing.

INNOV – Sustainable Agriculture helps producers innovate in their practices, make the most of their resources, and integrate sustainability into the core of their operations.

Independent assessment and third-party review services for producers and organizations.

  • Review of Agricultural Environmental Plans (AEPs) for the Province of New Brunswick.

The center positions itself as a trusted partner for innovation, sustainability, and performance on New Brunswick farms.

Some of our key achievements:

  • Support for the use of digestate as a soil amendment.
  • Integrated farm plans (crop rotation, fertilization, water management, and mapping).
  • Collaboration with Picketa Systems on optimizing the LENS™ sensor to, near-instantaneous measurement of nutrients in leaves.
  • Deployment of a LoRaWAN sensor network for real-time data collection.
  • Studies on agricultural carbon accounting and soil health monitoring.
  • Support for certified cannabis and organic producers.
